Sick boy!

A couple weeks ago, Micah was terribly sick with a super high fever and an ear infection. We enjoyed the calmness that came over him as he would lay in our laps and cuddle. It was sad to see him sick, but thankfully he is over it now!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at the Geeslin's house this year. Herb is another Pastor at our church and we have become good friends with him and his family. We had a wonderful feast and watched the movie Ratatoille...however you spell that!! It was a lot of fun.

We are blessed to be having another boy!! Now we just need to think of a name....we both thought we were having a girl, but I don't think Emma would be a good boy name!! So if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment!

Ultrasound

On Monday, November 26 we will find out the gender of our baby!! I am so excited!

Dairy Visit

Micah and Daddy

Dirty hand

I can't find it!

I have to stick my hand where?

Do it just like this.

Micah and the calf

Steve and Melinda Boon were kind enough to give us a tour of their dairy. Drew has always been interested in cows and into breeding cows. Steve had told Drew that he could come over and try it out, so we did. However, we found out that Drew's gifts are in preaching and he should stay away from cows. As much as he searched the inside of the cow for her cervix, he could not find it. We will leave the breeding to the professional hands of Steve:) It was very fun seeing thier dairy though. They have a very nice dairy with lots of land and beautiful views of the Skagit Valley.

I was searching for recipes on the Food Network website yesterday and found the greatest recipe for cinnamon rolls. It was taken from the show Semi Homemade with Sandra Lee. They are so delicious I had to share the recipe with everyone.

Cinnamon Rolls by Sandra Lee (with Semi-Homemade on food network)

1 loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed in refrigerator
Flour, for dusting surface

Filling

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2/3 stick butter, softened

Icing

1 stick butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to form a 15 by 7 inch rectangle. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Spread 2/3 cup softened butter over dough and then evenly sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Starting at the long edge, roll up dough as for a jelly roll. Cut roll into 16 slices and then set aside in a warm place and allow dough to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Divide rolls among 2 lightly buttered pie plates. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden on top. While the rolls are baking, combine the icing ingredients with an electric mixer until fluffy. Frost the warm rolls with the icing. Serve warm.

**Amy's Changes**

For those of you who are not into cream cheese frostings, I made a powdered sugar mixed with a litlle butter and milk frosting for ours. I actually made the cream chesse one, but Drew and I weren't really into it. I also had a hard time getting my rolls to rise, so I put them in the oven on warm until they had doubled in size.

Halloween

We took Micah to our church's harvest carnival and around our neighborhood for a little candy. He wasn't very into the whole thing. I think he would have rather stayed home and passed out candy.

My VERY tired boy

Why am I dressed like a zebra?

My cute pudgy costume!

At least they gave me milk!

Why can't I stay here and play with my pumpkin?

Ok, I'll wear the costume.

Mom, next year I want a manly costume!

Well, this photo shows some recent growth in the belly area! The shirt I am wearing seems to accent the belly very well. I almost didn't post this because I feel like it makes me look huge!! Oh well, people have been telling me that with the 2nd child your body likes to pop out quicker!

Cupcakes

I made these for our church's harvest carnival. They turned out so cute I had to get a picture:)
