Family Picture

We went to Deception Pass the other day and took a new family photo! Life has been crazy lately...we moved into our house, had family come visit, and now Micah has the stomach flu. But we are so thankful for all of it. The Lord is good in everything.

Halloween

We took Micah to our church's Harvest Festival last night. Micah was a lion. He was even trying to work on his roar!!

Well, its been a loooooooong time since I last blogged. I could contribute it to the fact that we are moving into our house in 2 days or many other things, but I won't. I just didn't blog.

Lets see here. In the past couple of months our house has gone from a bunch of pieces of wood to a finished structure!! We get to move in on Friday. We are very excited!!

Micah is doing well now. He has recently got 2 more teeth (6 total!!). Not fun for a 9 month old who doesn't enjoy getting new teeth. I think he has a very low pain tolerance. He also had his first real sickness (besides the couple of colds that he has had). He had a high fever of about 103 for about 3 days (of course on the weekend when the doctor isn't open!!) So Monday morning, we headed off to the doctor and found out he had an ear infection. Well, it was bound to happen sometime.

Well, I will post again soon with some more recent pictures of Micah and our house. For those members of our family who live in CA....it is currently 36 degrees. Yes, Washington does actually have 4 seasons (although rain usually occurs in all 4....). I am excited (and scared) to see what the winter holds for us!! We were only here in February of this year and haven't experienced a whole winter. People keep telling us that it can be weeks that you don't see the sun...yikes...not good for a CA family...well, actually Drew is ok with it. I am a CA girl. I love sun!! Well, we will just have to wait and see. We are excited to see what lies ahead!

Micah has recently had a lot of outings!! We have taken him to the Woodland Park Zoo with the college group, to Lake Samish with the High Schoolers, Deception Pass (see the picture to see how beautiful that is!) and recently this past weekend we took him to Lake Hayden in Idaho with the youth staff for a retreat. He has been so well behaved at all of these places!! I still can't believe how well he did in the car for 6 hours on the way to Idaho. I was personally very worried about that. I had to give it to God and He obviously knows better than I do. I know Micah will never remember any of these trips, but they were so much fun to take him on. Someday he will look at the pictures and see what an adventurous baby he was because he was a youth group baby!

Micah- 6 months

Micah turned 6 months when we were visiting in California! So, when we got back he got to go to the doctor...poor little man. It was shot time again!! He didn't like that very much...actually he was crying when the doctor was looking in his ears! But then it was over and the doctor said he is healthy and weighs 17 pounds, 3 ounces and is 26 1/4 inches long! Not bad for a kid who went down to 5 pounds 13 ounces when he was 4 days old!

He is getting so active! He can scoot around in a circle and sometimes rocks back and forth on all fours. Micah also figured out how to scoot backwards yesterday....yikes...the crawling is going to be coming soon!! I guess I will be locking my cabinets soon and covering all the outlets...cause Micah will be playing with them soon!

We are so thankful that God has blessed us with Micah. He is so much fun and is teaching Andrew and I so much.

Family Photo

This photo was taken in front of our church in June. Micah didn't want to look at the camera but at least we are all in it!

Blogging

We decided it might be fun for our family and friends in California to get updates on us (especially Micah) and to post some pictures too. I don't really know what I am doing, but I thought I should try! I will see if it works!
